THIS PAPERCUT LIFE is the design studio of artist/ designer Sue Codee. Located in Albany on the beautiful south coast of Western Australia Sue creates a range contemporary papercut and woodcut design, intricately layered wood sculptural bowls, and jarrah coasters and trivets with a distinct Australian theme.

papercut gallery

The papercut range includes one-off intricate hand cut artworks, as well as laser-cut designs which come in in multiples, framed and unframed. They often incorporate several layers of paper and ink work to create a field of depth.

jewellery gallery

The jewellery range includes earrings, pendants, and brooches derived from the papercut designs, and are laser cut and etched in Sue’s studio using materials such as jarrah and cherry timber, and a range of acrylic perspex.

woodcut gallery

The woodcut range is laser cut in Sue's studio using timbers such as jarrah and cherry, and are derived from the papercut designs. These look beautiful hanging in a window, on a wall, or as a mobile. Being made from wood- and therefore more durable- there is no requirement for them to be framed.

Bowls and Coasters gallery

Made from West Australian jarrah, and cherry timbers, Sue creates a unique range of intricately layered wood bowls, coasters and trivets with a distinct Australian theme.
